May 30, 2010 Last week we were reported at least 3 default claims against Vietnamian exporters for non shipping goods due to price increase, and some other very long delays in shipping for the same reason.
What is more concerning is that these defaults are not form small companies which might be understandable due to reduced capacity to handle operations in a speculative environment, but from traditional exporters.
Companies that received advance payments and deny any responsability for losses caused to importers.
The alleged reasons are that the producers are not delivering the purchased raw materials, holding it for better prices.
